TRAIN STREET

On Saturday, my family and I decided to walk around the city, and get our bearings a little bit. This time, without a tour guide! We were looking forward to just exploring, but we did plan to go to some temples, a restaurant and Train Street.

Train Street is a narrow alleyway with train tracks running through the middle! We thought that we would be able to just stroll up and cruise through. Not the case! 😳 Greeting us at the first entrance were a fake officer and conniving store owners. They were trying to convince us to come eat at their restaurants, and blocked us from walking on the street when we refused. After five minutes, it started to turn ugly. I know this sounds unreal, but I am telling the truth, I swear.

We eventually gave up and walked away. When we turned the corner, we found another entrance. No guards, no angry people. We walked right through! That’s when we appreciated how cool Train Street actually is. It is lined with coffee shops and motorcycles zoom through it. And it’s a favorite spot for Instagrammers! In the end, we were glad that we came, despite the bullies who turned us away.
