VALUES

In Sydney, my family and I visited the Museum of Contemporary Art. There were many exhibits, but one in particular caught our eye. This piece of art was called Ground Plan.

This floor plan showed the Earth with each country a different size. The size was based on the population of each country. Underneath the plaque explaining the exhibit was a challenge for families to make a floor plan of your life. So I decided to accept the challenge!

My floor plan shows the things I value most and what is most important to me right now. My room consists of 6 rooms: a welcome room, family and friends room, kitchen, travel room, writing room, and celebrations room.

  • Welcome: I welcome anyone and everyone in my house. The doors are open because it represents inclusivity and acceptance. There will also be a water fountain because I love water features. 😁

  • Family and Friends: My family and friends will always be a big part of my life, even if I’m halfway across the world. The relationships I have with the people I love are incredibly important to me.

  • Kitchen: As many people know, I love to cook and bake and then eat my creations! I love experimenting in the kitchen and it is something that makes me happy. I’m always looking for something to make!

  • Travel: Well, duh. Look where I am now! Travel is obviously a huge and important part of my life. I get to experience new cultures, foods, religions, and places. I am pretty sure I’m gonna have the travel bug for the rest of my life!

  • Writing: I always have a pen in my hand. Whether I’m writing on the blog, my journal, making lists, or even doing school assignments(!), I love to write. In my writing room I would have all of the pens and notebooks I could dream of!

  • Celebrations: Okay. Any conversation you could have with me could somehow turn into a Christmas, Easter, Birthday, or Halloween conversation. I love planning and decorating for holidays or even just the simplest things. During Christmas, our house is usually decked with all of the Christmas decorations and I will always have Christmas sweets or my secret hot chocolate in my hands.

This was a super fun writing assignment and I hope you got to learn a little more about me!

Love,

Sadie
