Cafe Nin Vs. Cafe Croasán
On two different days in Mexico City, we visited these bakeries. They were both DELICIOUS! I’m going to compare both of them with these criteria; food, drink, and decor.
First up is food from Café Nin. So good! We got a guava scone, lemon ricotta biscuit, cinnamon roll, almond milk and berry oatmeal, and chocolate croissant. My favorite was definitely the lemon ricotta scone. It was the perfect amount of sweet, tart, and savory. Five out of five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
At Café Croasán, we ordered lemon berry muffins, a chocolate croissant, and a plain croissant. There weren’t as many different pastries as Café Nin, but still, the lemon muffin was so good! I’d say four stars for Café Croasán. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The best hot chocolate I have EVER had was in Mexico City, by far. At Café Nin, I had the most delicious hot chocolate! It was the perfect amount of sweet foam on top and the rich chocolate goodness underneath! I would definitely absolutely have that every single day if I could. Five out of five! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
At Café Croasán I had the same. It was good but the foam on top wasn’t that sweet. I would say four out of five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The decor at Café Nin was so welcoming! The cafe was an old brick building that was on a cobblestone street right in the center of Mexico City. When you walk in the main door you can either go down or up and it has warm decorations that make the building very visually appealing. Inside, there was a blackboard with all of the food and drinks listed, as well as a barista station with a glass window, through which you could see all the irresistible pastries. Outside, we sat under a little covered pergola, twinkling with string lights and exploding with leafy plants. Five out of five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
At Café Croasán, we sat inside. The building itself was made in an old warehouse that was repurposed for the cafe. The walls are white brick and the room is very open. There was also a barista station where you could see pastries, and in the back area, you could see them cooking the food and baking pastries. Outside, there was a few tables with broad and bright plants. The wall outside was painted with different unique pastel colors. Five out of five stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
All in all, I loved both of them. They are both hugely recommended by me and I would go back all the time if I could. I can’t wait to try pastries around the world. If you have any suggestions about where we should get delicious pastries around the world, I’m all ears!
