LIMERICK
Our family’s first stop in Ireland was Limerick, and it made me want to write limericks in Limerick!
Limericks are 5-line poems written with a rhyming pattern of A, A, B, B, A.
Here are some short stories written in limerick.
LIMERICK TOWN
The Noonans land in Ireland,
At our back is the Irish wind.
We look for stew, but none is found.
Power’s out in Limerick town!
Along the way we must have sinned.
NOONAN CREST
We drove a ways to County Clare,
Brisk were the winds and rain filled the air.
Lo and behold! The Noonan Family Crest!
Our Irish ancestors were among the best,
with hair so red and skin so fair.
CLIFFS OF MOHER
We stand upon these cliffs so tall
And stroll along the old stone wall.
The Cliffs of Moher meet the sea,
so far below you and me.
While the buskers play for all.
