LIGHTSHOWS IN SINGAPORE

My family and I went to two light shows in Singapore; one was projected onto sprays of water and the other onto large fake trees. Both were stunning. In Singapore, the government encourages art, so there are many public displays of art, including light shows. We were fortunate enough to see two: one at Gardens by the Bay, and the other at Marina Bay.

The first light show took place at Gardens by the Bay, which is 250 acres of pure green, waterfalls and flowers. There is a nightly light show there called, “A Journey Through Asia,” complete with music and lights. It was like a movie of lights displayed on large tree-like structures. We had a great view while we were laying on the ground. The light show was so magnificent; I was transfixed the whole time.

The second light show was at Marina Bay, where we had a great view overlooking the water, with the Singapore skyline on full display. This light show was projected from the river, onto sprays of water shooting from fountains. The wind blew water from the fountain, which was perfect for kaleidoscope effects. I really liked this one because it was like nothing I have ever seen; laser beams shooting through water and bright pink water fountains.

I loved Singapore a lot, and these light shows put it over the top. I do wonder about the people who create  these amazing art shows, because they were magnificent! Guess it will always be a mystery! Unless someone knows, of course, then you should tell me all about it.

THE END.
