FRÄULEIN MARIA

My family and I went on a “Sound of Music” tour in Salzburg. It was a bike tour of some of the places in the movie. Our guide was Johan. He was kind and funny. The ride was easy and we had music! Johan played our favorite songs from the movie! 

Let me tell you about five places we visited.

This is the gazebo where Rolf and Leisel had their first kiss and sang “Sixteen Going on Seventeen.”

This is one of the houses where they filmed. This is where Maria arrives singing “I Have Confidence.”

This is the other house where they filmed when Maria and the kids fell off the boat singing “Do-Re-Mi.”

This is the Abbey where the nuns took parts of the Nazi’s engine out of their car. Hahahahaha! It’s also where the nuns were singing “Maria” at the beginning of the movie.

This is the garden where Maria taught the kids how to sing “Do-Re-Mi.”

My favorite part was visiting the gazebo because that is one of my favorite songs in the movie. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed.
