teleferiqo
Yesterday my family and I, along with Kathy and Diego, went up to the top of the mountain in TeleferiQo cable cars. Cable cars are basically ski lifts but bigger and more enclosed. 🚠 The altitude on top of the mountain was around 4,000 meters above sea level.
Once we got up on the top of the mountain, we started to see the views of the city. If you’ve been to New York City, Quito is like that, just 3 times bigger and much more colorful. The view was amazing! When we looked up we could see clouds, mountain tops and birds. But when we looked down, we could see the city, horses and green, green, grass.
Speaking of horses, when we got to the top of the mountain, there were horse stables. We got to ride on the horses for about 25 minutes on a mountain trail. Everyone besides my dad went on a horse. The ride was bumpy but beautiful. We could see all of Quito and even past it.
After the horse ride, we went up to the highest point possible where there was a swing that you could sit on, so we obviously we did, and we took pictures (one shown below). After the last picture was taken, we all slid down the steep hill to the cable cars. Sadly, because of the altitude, Sadie got sick. After she started to feel better, we went back down the mountain. We stopped in the middle of our ride for about 5 minutes, which was just enough time to scare my dad.
So in conclusion, if you ever decide to come to Quito, you should definitely ride on the Teleferiqo cable cars. You really do not want to miss the views and horseback rides. Adios, mis amigos!
EL FIN!!!
