Emerald buddha

In Bangkok, we went to a very cool temple. It was mostly made out gold and gems!

There was one Buddha statue that was an Emerald Buddha. Let me tell me a little bit about it.

It has three outfits, one for each season — summer, winter, and monsoon season! Only the king is able to change the outfits.

It is very small. It is only about 2 feet tall and 1 and a half feet wide.

Back to the three outfits. One of the outfits is covering one shoulder and its legs. A different one is covering its legs and both shoulders. The other one is a very cool t-shirt shawl thing with lots of bracelets on his legs and arms. 

It is in a room were a bunch of people go in to see it. It is up high on an altar so every one can see it.

It has a 3rd gold eye above its eyebrows.

The other two eyes look down.

The right palm is on top of the left palm.
